Cameras:
Sony Alpha 7 Mk IV
Upgrading from my Nikon D5500 to this camera was a game-changer. The A7 IV isn’t just an upgrade in specs; it’s a true milestone in my journey as a photographer. This is the first camera I saved up for entirely on my own, and that makes it so much more than just a piece of gear, it holds a deeper significance. It feels like an extension of myself, a tool that’s been with me through countless shoots, travels, and creative challenges. Every time I pick it up, I’m reminded of the hard work and passion that led me to this point. The A7 IV has become more than just a camera; it’s a trusted companion that helps me capture the world as I see it.

iPhone 16 pro max
As a long-time Apple user, upgrading to this iPhone felt like a natural progression, especially when it comes to the camera. Compared to my previous 14 Pro Max, the improvements were undeniable. During my 2024 journey across Western and Central Europe, I left my A7 IV at home out of fear of theft, trusting this phone to capture the moments instead, and it did just that. The simplicity of shooting on an iPhone, where it all began for me, reminded me of why I fell in love with photography in the first place. Its daytime shots were impressive. However, its night photography still leaves much to be desired. Despite that, the iPhone proved to be an indispensable part of my toolkit, helping me preserve memories when my main gear wasn’t around.
Lenses:
Sony FE 50mm f1.8
The “Nifty-Fifty”, the first lens for me and countless other photographers. This lens was my constant companion during the early days of my transition from Nikon to Sony, and it remains a special part of my gear. The 50mm focal length is incredibly versatile, making it ideal for everything from portraits to street photography. Though I don’t reach for it as often anymore—mainly due to its slower autofocus and lack of weather sealing compared to my other lenses—it still holds sentimental value as the lens that helped me get started in the Sony ecosystem.

Sony Zeiss Sonnar 35mm f2.8
Small, discreet, and built for the streets—this lens is a true gem for street photography. Its compact size makes it almost unnoticeable, allowing me to blend in and capture candid moments without drawing attention. Despite its tiny footprint, the image quality is nothing short of impressive, delivering that signature Zeiss contrast and sharpness. Whether I’m weaving through bustling city streets or chasing fleeting moments, this lens is always up to the task, proving that sometimes, less really is more.

Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 G2
Probably the most used of my lenses, this one is a true Jack of all trades. With a versatile focal length range from 28mm to 75mm, it allows me to capture everything from wide-angle shots to more tightly framed compositions, all while maintaining that beautiful low f/2.8 aperture. Beyond its performance, this lens holds a special place in my heart, it was a gift I received after doing well in my O-Level exams. To me, it is a symbol of my perseverance and will to push through hard times.
